Recently my 2 1/2 year old daughter has taken an extreme liking to trains. At Christmas we set up a Holiday Express Christmas train (G Scale). i have taken her to a hobby shop where she is just amazed by trains. The guy in the hobby shop suggested we start with "O" Scale. I felt that he did not want to spend to much time with us since I was not asking the correct questions.

I was hoping to be able to post what I envision for me and my daughter and hope people would chime in.

Want to set up a track in our loft, would like to run the track on the floor (wood) around the wall. Would like the track to climb up to a table and then slop down off the table. I understand that I would not start with everything but would like to start with a set.

Do you think "O" scale is best for this?
