Excellent review, BigKid. I'm not a history buff or railroad guy, but I decided to record this program based on this thread. We watched a little more than half early this morning before we had to go out. I admit I never thought about how subways came to be and I was amazed at the video of how crowded the streets were before the electric cars came about and really amazed after they came out. I've visited the Commons and still can't imagine what it was like at the turn of the century. We think traffic is bad today, but at least there isn't horse droppings to contend with.
