There is still time to register for the Age Steam Roundhouse bus trip to Sugar Creek, OH, on Friday, August 9th. We leave from the Painesville Depot Museum, Painesville, OH. The trip includes a tour of the Roundhouse, the Ernest Warther Museum and a buffet lunch. Don't be left out saying "I should have gone". Please contact me for specifics.

Warther’s Knife Museum in New Philadelphia is an amazing place. The astonishing things Moody Warther carved from wood are almost beyond comprehension. His steam locomotives are simply beyond adequate description (there are lots of them), and the Lincoln Funeral Train is a true artistic masterpiece. As are so many other pieces.

Please take my advice and visit the museum. You will be thrilled you did, believe me. And humbled before artistic genius

btw, their handmade on the premises cutlery is expensive but very, very fine, too. I have a number of pieces. We gave our son and bride a boxed carving set as a wedding gift, that’s how swell it is. Of course, you will exit through the gift shop...

This is one of Ohio’s hidden gems!
