Further to something Uberstationmeister said and what's stated on J and W's website, you charge your engine first for a minute EACH time you're going to run a BCR equipped engine; but unlike a typical MTH battery the BCR never needs to be replaced. Hence, there's no chance of destroying a PS2 (and/or a PS1) circuit board from a dead battery.
