I think this would be one great locomotive to do in fantasy schemes. My first pick would be the original Norfolk Southern Railway. (the one taken over by Southern Railway in 1964.) The NS had 2-8-4s though much lighter than the NYC A2s. Besides I bet a lot of people would like a steam locomotive with the Norfolk Southern road name on it.
