Ben: THANK YOU for the Trommer's history lesson! I was born in 1942 and we lived close to the intersection of Putnam Ave and Bushwick Ave. My earliest memory of Trommer's was probably around 1946-47, and that wonderful aroma of hops and those barrels with different color bands.
