@DGJONES - I assume you're referring to the MTH 50-1039 - ProtoSound DCS WiFi Digital Command System 2?  Yes, no?  You'll notice it has an "enet" input.  I assume you have working remotes.  Unless MTH is blowing smoke (which very well maybe the case), you can use a tether (aka. phone cord) to connect your remote to this WIFI system.  I am also waiting on one of these and I have no current intention of hooking it up to WiFi.

When this was discussed previously, it was made clear that you can't use your remote wirelessly, which is obviously the only way way most folks would want to use it.  I would be very surprised if they kept the ability to connect it via the tether as well.  I'm guessing the "enet" input is likely an Ethernet connector and not for the remote tether.

Current and past DCS Remote Handheld units (50-1002 and 50-1038) cannot control the WTIU because there is no 900mhz radio transimtter/receiver in the WTIU
