GRJ, Dumb question, with the tracks on either side of the lift bridge, did you lay the track across solid then cut the rails on either side? Also, did you do anything to make it so if the bridge is up, trains cannot approach it? Or because you don't go 'inside' the layout much, you simply have the master power off and don't worry about it?
