I bought a PW-ZW at York. It works great except for the fact that when I push the whistle lever, the bell rings. I didn't have this problem when I had my CW or my KW connected to the track. I haven't changed any of the wiring so I'm wondering could there be something with how the transformer is wired for the whistle. When I run the trains on the club layout which also has a ZW and I push the whistle lever, the whistles work, plus when I run my PW 2037 2-6-4 on my layout, the tender whistle works, but all the other engines if they respond, the bell rings. The guy I bought it from has a good reputation for his transformers, but before I call him I want to see if there is anything I can do. I should just install the diode that replaces the disc. The video on YouTube that shows how to do the replacement was not done very well and I got nothing usable from it.
