100% WRONG.

Any time you go to Facebook.com, they set a tracking cookie on your computer which tracks your every move on the Internet. This happens whether you log in or not. Facebook and Google both do that. Ever use Google for an internet search? Then you’ve got a Google tracking cookie on your computer, too.

As a point of information, enabling private browsing stops that as does periodically deleting all cookies. Faceborg and google are not (by far!) the only bidnesses that install cookies. Almost all commercial websites do so and only a small number ask for permission.
