100% WRONG.

Any time you go to Facebook.com, they set a tracking cookie on your computer which tracks your every move on the Internet. This happens whether you log in or not. Facebook and Google both do that. Ever use Google for an internet search? Then you’ve got a Google tracking cookie on your computer, too.

Nope.

You just have to know to either block cookies or have them deleted every time you close your browser.

You can scrub my computers from the root on up and their will be no cookies.  This is very important to us in the music biz who have to go online now and then to download firmware updates.
