I have 1409 in the script version. Catalog states multiple rd. Numbers. The end flap on the box only has a check box for 2 or 3 rail. Hard to believe each cab # got it’s own unique box. They also offered the block lettering version. I’m thinking maybe 2#’ s with script and 2#’s with block. It was a long time ago. I bought from a small local shop who ordered three and I think he had 3 different #’s. Then they did a second run. Which featured EOB and I think a fan driven puffing smoke unit.
I believe it was in between those runs that MTH announced one. I don’t know why there weren’t enough orders. They made a few odd ball engines and with the buying power of the northeast area and NH following it’s hard to believe it was cancelled.
