I took a look at the Lionel J-3a's. The ones I saw were from 2001 and had Odyssey, and as you mentioned Pete are $600+. In your opinion are they that much better than the K-Lines?

I can see these are totally different than the updated "Classic Hudson J1-a 700E and 763E" from the 1990's I originally asked about. Those are about $400. Are those scale dimensioned or are they "smaller"?
