While I don't know which factory the Moguls were made, I've been told the Hudsons will be made in the same factory that the Niagara's were made in. Given that the Niagara's other than the normal defects seen by all manufactures, were for the most part trouble free. Also I've purchased four Lionel engines over the past couple of years and other than the Mogul have been trouble free.
As for me, I'm leaning towards 5415 offered by Mr Muffins Trains. Haven't pulled the trigger yet, but I'm getting close.
