These will be my first Lionscale cars. I'm interested to review quality and build.

Those are the Weaver/Crown molds. Should be nice. If they're consistent with some of the more recent Lionel releases, converting them to scale wheels and Kadees should be pretty easy. I would opt for using Atlas replacement trucks as the Lionel 33" scale wheels are pretty expensive.
