Thanks for the replies. It is good to know that Lionel modified the K-Line Lima Berk tooling for a more conventional arrangement allowing a larger motor. It sound like the Lionel Lima and AMC Berks should all be quite capable locomotives for heavy haul work. The MTH locomotives are certainly robustly built.
