Overland Union Pacific U50C

Does anyone have experience with this model, it did not first run and it makes a lot of gear noise so I took the model apart to see what it looked like. I checked everything and used this grease Swiss made and the noise decreased more than half, this grease are used in clocks with fine gears. A belt transmission to the second fan was unfortunately not a option because it was broken and I don’t have them, the other one works. I don’t know if this a popular model for railroaders of the UP because of the gearbox also the same where the first run of gas turbines (Big Blow) from overland the same noise gearbox. Maybe someone has fix this with a hole new drive system I can do it also but for me is it a model I like it as the way it is weather it of course so you not see the damage paint any more.

I also did in the fuel tank isolation stuff because of the noise it worked a little but all together with everything I done the noise is still there if you go fast but not on slow speed. I bought this model years ago with damage (paint) and also not a airhorn on the roof. It drives now better but I think a whole new drive is the best. They only made I think one run of this model.

Model all together again the noise will also gets higher just a large sound box but I like the U50C and thanks Overland did this one in O scale it’s big.......
