I appreciate all the ideas. I am going to look into finding a conductive adhesive that I may have more success with than trying to solder the broken pieces back onto what seems to be a cardboard backing. I also watched a Youtube vid and it seems to me thaT there are impulse switches that have the 3 terminals needed to replace the controllers. Seems like they were being used on a homemade switch control board.
