Reply to "Official book of rules for model railroading"

I have seen those books before, I have one around at home someplace, and I think it was to get more fun out of the trains, have kids use their imaginations and so forth. Obviously it also is a marketing book,  since it is a lot more fun to 'run a railroad' when you have a layout with sidings to switch, grade crossings to whistle through, signals to obey, etc
