older TIU and Remote

c6usaOGR Forum Member DIGITAL SUBSCRIBER

I have a old TIU without rev code on the back. when powering up the red led flashes 10 times and the remote shows 3.1. I tried to flash the 6.1 with no luck to the TIU . Will the remote take the 6.1 if it has 3.1 in it now.
