Reply to "On30 rough dimensions"

I have never heard of a 30 inch gauge common carrier.

What defines the correct O scale?   Since WWII or the 1950s, "correct" o scale in the USA has been considered 1:48.    The problem is that the track gauge is wrong for that.     However, available "scale" equipment is built to 1:48 scale I think.
