Operating Accessories

I'll be looking for operating accessories in the coming months. The typical accessories that Lionel and others have produced. I do know, however, that some of the Lionel operating accessories have been "Upgraded" with motors instead of vibrating mechanisms.

Bottom line ? I'd like some opinions from those of you who operate your layouts with track side accessories on old verses new.
