I don't think operating accessories will ever be a thing of the past in O gauge. Depending on what type of layout you prefer I think accessories will always play a significant roll in our hobby especially with new technology being introduced in some of the old classic accessories as well as new accessories introduced by Lionel & MTH. xpres
