The PS/1 couplers are designed to fire on 12-18 VAC, basically track power. The PS2/3 couplers are designed to fire on about 6V DC. They are not compatible. The impedance of the two are about 3:1 different. You can try them, I've seen people use the PS/1 couplers successfully on the PS/2, but don't be surprised if they don't work well.
