I'm in the alcohol crowd, but there are some paints nothing will touch. Weaver, 1970s Atlas, some Krylons. for those I feather with 1000grit sandpaper as careful as possible and go on. Nothing will remove it. I've seen Easy Off help some Atlas paint, but frankly I'm afraid of that stuff that I will melt the car?
