You didn't say what kind of painting. I use chip brushes for latex base coats on scenery, etc. (doing a mountain this morning, speak of the devil). But for detail, quaility painting, I have found nothing better than these. They come in various packets from six to 25 brushes. I have nine and have reused them for several years. They seem to do fine with acrylic, oils, or watercolors.
