I plan on having the 5 inches at the each end of the bridge to be screwed into the shelves for support with the 20 inches in the center spanning the gap between the two shelf ends. So to answer your question directly, it won't be a prototypical mount. If you don't mind, I'm going to refer you to my ceiling layout build thread for further details and discussion thumb . Thanks.
