So a quick question to ask you talented modelers / refinishers:
If I've got a model that has portions painted in flat black, and portions painted in semi-gloss black, and I overcoat the whole thing in a satin or semi-gloss clear, will the visual difference between the flat and semi still somehow manifest? I realize that the flat black will no longer be flat, but will it have a noticeable difference from the semi gloss area once coated, or does the satin overcoat essentially make the whole thing uniform?
I'm not asking if the colors will retain their original sheen, side the satin will obviously govern. Just wondering if there will be a difference in final appearance at all between the two. Trying to maintain a very subtle two-tone looking finish.
