Painting wheel bearing covers

I have an MTH p2 FEF 844. Im converting to TMCC. I see that the real 844 has silver painted bearing covers, I was wondering how to best go about painting them? Stamp the paint on? Or just hand paint? Trying to get a good looking clean circle.
