I have a postwar 2035 "K4".  It is a great runner, but I question its authenticity.  As I recall the 2035 had a four wheel trailing truck with Magna Traction.  Mine has the same drive as the 2025.  I also had to put a repro boiler front on it.  I was told by a very knowledgeable collector that mine could be a transition piece, but I still suspect it was done later.

Not too shabby information from a person who is admittedly has the fewest Lionel locomotives out of all the locomotives in my collection - postwar or other.    It's those 21 years of attending TCA Desert Division meetings that provided a little education.

Take a look at Post War Lionel Library your 2035 is from 50-51 with magna traction, The other book I have is Inside The Lionel Trains fun factory by Robert J. Osterhoff, yeah you never know what you buy. Its always going to happen,
