This fabulous picture came across my Facebook feed today. When I visited the Starrucca Viaduct a few weeks ago, I wondered if it was still in use - guess this answers my question!!!

The photo was accompanied by the following text from the photographer:

One big appearance before retirement? The Capital Region Toys For Tots Train was an unqualified success, giving out thousands of gifts and clothing items along the way. But a moment on the return trip eclipsed all of the other photographic opportunities as JCTX former Pennsylvania Railroad E8As 5809 and 5711 were allowed to appear leading for a brief moment as the pair of NS SD60Es were uncoupled while the train was brought to a stop on Starruca Viaduct On Sunday, December 2, 2018. This was the culmination of months of planning and coalition building, and will hopefully not be the last appearance for these vintage gems.
