Per Johnny Cash, Lionel Trains were "the big train for small hands".

What he meant was that "big trains" (i.e., O Gauge) were easier for young kids to handle than small trains (i.e., HO). HO trains were for older kids.  (Lionel was making HO trains at the time.) I thought that was an interesting sales approach. I had seen a number of Johnny Cash commercials, but I hadn't seen  this one. I enjoy the old train commercials.
