Thanks. I have abandoned the ideal of running both a conventional and VL Legacy on the same loop, remembered that I could not manage a VL Bigboy and a VL Hudson on the same track without 100 % attention, yes a couple of derailments (no damage) and each got it's own loop. There are 6 loops on my layout, one will be changed to conventional and another will be Legacy 990 controlled.

Was going to put in a siding but do not have the room to do what Michael suggested and decided to just save a few dollars and not buy more equipment jut reroute what is already there.
