The U posts of the ZW and KW are not the same animal so to speak. The ZW's U is common and the KW's U is something else, look at the back of the KW for an idea.

I have most of my stuff in storage so I can't look at the transformers right now to tell you which is which.

I just moved so everything is crazy right now finding anything.

What I can tell you is that the post war ZW and Z have the same U for common power.

In order for the two common posts of two transformers to be in phase there should be zero volts between both common posts at all times. Otherwise they are out of phase.
