I like stuff like this. Too bad about the motor and drive shafts; if those were present, the project just becomes a reversing unit and lights (I would ERR Cruise Commander it, but that's not your thing).

Don't paint it; love that bare look. Do seal it with a couple of applications of Dullcote.
