Yeah but BobbyD has a point; if the fans show no sign of having a drive pin missing, this could be a stray part from the factory.
Way back when these sets were issued, I think that we members of the general model train-buying public (in particular this member) did not expect to find stray parts such as capacitors, boiler fronts, cowcatchers and the like slumming around in the boxes/ shipping cartons our trains came in. Now it’s kinda like the norm.
