If you are asking about the change you made, that suggests, to me, that you feel it may need something more done to it. I'd suggest trying your hand at some weathering. (a)Water-down the darker grey paint and use it as a wash, here-n-there over the lighter grey. (b) and/or try your hand at weathering powders. Even if you do not like the results of either or both attempts at weathering, you can paint over it and try again. Our hobby is full of creative adventures.

An example of us letting ourselves experiment and change models would be this water tank.Ready for delivery and pickup When I first opened the box, it was all a bright grey plastic. Then, I went wild on it , and this is the result. Of course, I am not suggesting you do such a weathering job on your bank, but I am suggesting the fun of taking a chance and, perhaps, being contented with the results.
