Wow ... this change would not be good for us!
A key quote from the presser, "...In our opinion, most community members don't really think about subscribing based on content type..." That is a huge and sweeping generalization that does not fit us. I maintain that everyone here subscribes based on content type!
Another important quote: "... if you love the current system that revolves around following specific content types, you can keep using it." This is a good thing. We will not make this change. It would be a huge disservice to you, our members, who don't fit into their general idea of how our community works.
