Postwar Inspired vs Conventional Classics

In looking at the new 2012 Lionel Signature Catalog, I really like the UP Anniversary Set that is listed under the heading "Traditional Postwar Inspired". By every definition, it looks like a Conventional Classic that is based on an iconic postwar engine or set. It has all the features of a CC – Pullmor motor, Magne-Traction, die-cast trucks and frame, postwar-inspired packaging, etc. It has it all! As far as I can tell, the only reason it’s not a Conventional Classic is that when the original series was announced in the 2008 Volume 2 Catalog, the CC’s were to be released over the next three years, so I guess times up and no more Lionel Certificate of Authenticity.
