Powering DZ2500 switch motors in blocks?

Hello,
I am wiring a 30'x12' layout that is Legacy-only (constant 18V). I am using ross track w dz25000 switches. Ultimately the layout will have 40 some odd switches. I am powering the track with 5 180 watt powerhouses each serving their own block but sharing a common ground buss. I will use separate power supplies for switch motors and accessories.

Here is my question...should I power the switches in the same manner as the track, with 5 different transformers serving the switches in the blocks defined by track power blocks, or can I use one switch motor power source? I read a post by Patrick H (that I have searched for but been unable to find) and I recall that if one dz2500 has a problem it will interfere with power to other switches...I think.

I just want to be able to source any electrical problems as easily as possible.

thanks for any advice
