Powhatan Arrow

Not at all sure this is a good idea, but one of my favorites was the "J" pulling a string of Tuscan cars, on those timetables my station agent grandfather would bring me from the Fairbank depot.  So I bought this thing from Vince, back when they were pretty expensive.  The experts tell me it is full of flaws - boiler taper, cylinder block, tender deck - who knows?  But it has always pleased me with its brass construction, its baked on paint with proper Tuscan stripe, and its smooth running (after I pulled the out-of-balance flywheel).

Yes, I have a string of 85' coaches to follow it - not all are N&W; one is PRSL, another is Long Island.  But I am happy.  Herewith:DSC02801

While I am at it, notice that we now outrank the 3-rail scale forum?
