Does anyone own this engine? 20-3057-1

It's a beautiful piece and I've always kinda wanted one, but I don't know if it will fit on my layout.

The website claims a required curve of O-54. I have O-36. I know that sometimes the box has a different minimum curve than the website, and even then the engine will occasionally function completely fine on an even tighter curve. Since MTH skips O-36 and goes right down to O-31 on their tolerances, I'm wondering if there's any chance this engine will actually work on my layout.

If anyone has experience with this particular engine, I'd love to hear your input.

As a secondary question, this seems to be an engine in the early era of Proto-Sound 2. From what I've heard, those PS boards are not the best. Should I be concerned about that as well?
