Some of these 5v boards seem to fail even with a fresh fully charged battery. The weak component seems to be a 330uf @ 35v capacitor It can be removed and replaced without separating the boards. According to GRJ this is a common failure point. When you do make sure you follow good static discharge prevention protocols and use an ESD safe iron. Make sure to note the polarity of the cap in the board before you remove it. I bought a bag of these caps and have replaced it one of my four 5v boards and it's still working thumb . In the early 2000s there was a virtual pox of bad chinese caps and I would imagine this one of them. j
