Does anyone have a clear picture of the board inside these buildings? I'm going to keep it if I can find out where the adapter plugs in. I put a small mirror from a kids toy in there but I couldn't see any place to make a connection. If I knew where it plugged in maybe I could fish around with my hand and plug it back in.

Are you able to see the general area where the power connector on the outside of the building runs? If so, it's a fairly good chance this plugs in somewhere on the same board.
