Proper Lubrication For Marx Post-War Steam Locomotives

Hello All,

I would appreciate some direction regarding what lubricants to use or to avoid for my post-war Marx steam locomotives. I have at least one of each of the 999, 666, and 333 models.

I have been reading conflicting recommendations on whether to use 30 weight, non-detergent motor oil, Vaseline, 3 in 1 oil, or the LaBelle lubricants more commonly used in HO scale model railroading. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
