Thanks for posting the photos. The GG-1 is a great looking machine. My uncle was an engineer on the Penn and he did drive a GG-1. He had a lot of great stories to tell about his days on the Pennsylvania Railroad, and I was lucky to live in LIC and only a few blocks from the Sunnyside yards. I spent many a day at the yards with my friends watching the GG-1's and all the Penn passenger cars go through the power wash station and how they got ready to move out to Penn station. .
