PS3 UPGRADE KIT 50-1911

Hi, folks. (again)

My 30-1418-1 - 4-6-6-4 Imperial Challenger Steam Engine w/Proto-Sound 2.0 Union Pacific is not working. Probably the problem is the PS2 boards. My question is: Can I replace the original PS2 boards installed in the locomotive for the: 50-1911 Proto-Sound 3.0 Steam Locomotive Upgrade Kit?
