@gunrunnerjohn - You'll note I don't fly. Anyway, the RMS to DC converter is opamp based "all of the signal processing occurs in circuits with high gain op amps operating closed loop." And, just so you know, I use 8051's for uPs...much prefer 6502/10's though. A
