In the late 1970's, took family up to Quebec to photograph iron ore railroads. Got the grand tour from a QNS&L official at Sept Illes complex, road the tri-weekly passenger trip to Lab City, helicopter ride along the route with track foreman, Wabush Lake RR passenger train and photographed the remote-control electric railway near Lab City. Even photographed the elusive Quebec Iron & Titanium RR at Harve St. Piere...about 100+ miles north of Sept Illes on a dirt road. Their daily employee passenger train was a former DL&W Phoebe Snow coach with an MP15 diesel!
Had a rental car there but no mileage charge...only 10 miles of roads! Flew back with a bush pilot...now that was an airplane ride.
Got to find all those slides someday.
