I had recently purchased a Williams SD-90, brand new, at a reasonable price, just to hear what the True Blast Plus sounded like. As everyone else, I was disappointed that even running with a lot of cars, you couldn't get out of the engine idle sound because of the low voltage requirement of the engine. I followed the expert advice given on series wiring, and although I don't like messing with a brand new engine, I gave it a try. The only thing that I did differently was to use a 20 gauge wire for the "temporary" connection, as it fit into the female plug clip a little better. Talk about a puller, this engine pulls 30 cars without a sweat. And most importantly, I now get the full range of engine sounds at about 9 volts, whereas before I could only put less than 4 volts on the track. Thanks again Forum guys for the tips that helped to make this happen!
